Previously based in Leicester in 1990, then moving onto Nottingham 2004 and now in Derby since 2007. Supplying clients throughout the UK & internationally. The gallery shows a wide range of illustration styles and all produced by one Artist, Adrian Cartwright. Illustrations from simple pencil sketches to high resolution digital illustrations.

History

In September 1990, Adrian Cartwright became a freelance illustrator and started providing an illustration service. One of his first jobs was for Atari, quickly followed with a commission for a 1 million pound British Rail Poster campaign . Success followed with many commissions for local design agency's. Artistic skills evolved and experience working as an illustrator in-house has proved highly effective working in advertising and design environments.
Planet has provided illustrations for many different types of companies over the last 20 years. More recently company’s such as Rolls-Royce plc, Royal Society, NHS-London, London 2012, Scottish Parliament and Kodak, including local companies and government.

Skills

Just like the Swiss Army Knife, planet illustration provides a flexible and ever-evolving set of skills and usefulness. Recently animation for promotional video and computer generated illustration using 3d modeling, have been utilized with great affect.
