These illustrations of what was know back then as Air Stewardess's, (Flight attendants today) was commissioned to promote a new hoesery line base around the 1950's age of airlines and the glamour associated with it. These two illustrations are part of a set, each with their own name and storey. We hope that some of their character translates across in the illustrations. We studied the style and medium that was typically used in advertising back in the 1950's. Watercolour was the chosen medium, giving texture and a light feel to the posterisation style used. The client loves them, and we're looking forward to working with them again soon.
